Pictures of cake!

My weekend was so crazy busy that I didn't even have time to bake my cake... But I think we did find a house. I am not sure if we are going to get it as we haven't heard back from the guy but I know if this is the house were ment to have God will give it to us! But anyways back to the matter at hand. So I finally baked my cake and here are the end result pictures! Tell me your thoughts :)

A vision of tasty proportions

So for the last few days I have had a vision of this cake I want to bake. I guess I am trying to put my energy into thinking about cake and other baked goodies instead of facing the fact that we still haven't found a house! That is killing me. But I know God has a house for us. So my thoughts linger onto this cake! This is what I see in my head....

I want to make a vanilla cake (everything will be from scratch including the icing) and I want to cut it into three pieces. I want to layer those pieces with a fudge or some kind of rich chocolate icing and then place raspberries on top of the icing and do that until the cake is filled up. Then I want to cover it in a butter cream icing that will be a nice rich Burgundy color, top it with fresh raspberries and then drizzle a yummy ganache over the top.

I have had a real sweet tooth lately! Which doesn't do much for trying to lose weight but does a ton for my craving! I will add pictures of the cake once I get around to baking it and the process of the cake :)

Answered prayers!

So I have been praying for a very long time for God to help me find more ladies around my age, fellow Christians whom I can fellowship with. Well I joined a bible study on Wednesday nights about a month ago and I have met a lot of wonderful ladies! I am truly blessed to have all of them! There is one girl from my small group who is around the same age as me. She is a little older then me but not too much. Anyways last week during our bible study we were talking about what our jobs will be in Heaven and I said God could make me the cake decorator! And the lady from my small group said that would be so much fun I have been wanting to learn! I was like really? I found some classes at Jo Ann if you want I could send you the information about them and she said that would be great and asked me if it was the Jo Ann in Naples and I said well no it is the one by my house, But if you would like to take the class together I can drive down to Naples and take it with you, I'm flexible. Anyways my point of this story is that we decided to teach ourselves and we are going to start doing that together! I am so excited one for the new friendship and two to learn how to decorate cakes all fancy like! he he! God is working in my life so very much and is giving me blessing for being faithful!
I feel so very Blessed!

On another great note Austin (our six year old son) has become more curious about God! This is so very exciting for my husband and I! We have prayed about this day for quite sometime! He told us the other night after watching Veggie Tales, that God tells us that we need to love the bullies. We need to pray for them and love them just like we pray for our families and love them. I just love how much he has progressed over the years!

It has been a very fulfilling and exciting experience watching Austin grow into a wonderful boy. He isn't a baby anymore. But just like we taught him to walk and just like we taught him to talk we will continue to teach him to pursue God and a personal relationship with him! There is something so peaceful and fulfilling about watching your child grow in their relationship with God!

Also on another note our friends Mike and Sarah whom had their little baby boy were able to take him home yesterday! Thanks to everyone for the prayers for little Mikey! He is doing great! We can't wait to meet him! I wonder if I should buy a light saber for his room, hmmmm. His room decor is star wars. Or maybe I could make some star wars curtains for Sarah? Hmmm, the possibilities are endless!

A peaceful morning and then I forgot my cell phone....

Have you ever had one of those strange moments in your life where your alarm goes off at 5am and you don't want to throw it across the room, just so you can get that extra 10 minutes of sleep?
Well this morning that was me! The alarm went off and I felt refreshed! (this never happens I usually always wake up tired!) So I just laid there in my bed thanking God and thinking about nothing in particular. Which is a rare moment for me when I can actually lay and not be doing 16 things at once or going 100 mph. Which was even more shocking was that I still had a sleeping baby! He is usually up before the alarm goes off! So I eventually got up and decided to go get Austin up and ready for school. So that was a task in itself! But he finally woke up and I got him and myself ready. My hubby was already awake getting himself ready.
I was able to make Austin's and my breakfast all before Ethan woke up. So then I tended to him and we were on our way. And it is my job to get everyone to their perspective places. Which takes a total of an hour usually every morning.
So I dropped hubby off at work and then headed towards Austin's school to drop him off. (today was the first day back from spring break) So that went smoothly, then I was off to the daycare to drop Ethan off. That too went well.
And through all the hustle this morning I still felt that peace, I was thinking wow this is so great. And then I looked down in the cup holder of my car and BOOM, my cell phone wasn't there. I was like oh no, this is not good. Usually at this point I would be like Jhenna, how could you be so dumb to not remember to grab your cell phone? But this morning was very different, I was like oh okay I left my cell phone at home! And then I went back to listening to Odyssey. (For those of you who don't know what odyssey is I have added the link) http://www.whitsend.org/

On another note, I finally got the chance to look into doing a cake decorating class! I really like to bake cakes and I have always wanted to learn how to decorate them! So I went online and did a search and found classes at my local Jo ann! This is very exciting! Well at least to me it is ha ha ha.

One of my co-workers was looking at a picture I had taken of my son Ethan, framed, and brought into work. He was telling me that is was an amazing picture and that he really liked it! I thanked him of course and then he started telling me how photography is a Hobie of his and that he does weddings all the time and then takes all the pictures he has taken and compiles them onto a DVD and adds music kinda like a very lovely slide show! So he brought me in a DVD of a wedding he did and told me that if my hubby and I wanted he would compile one of the boys for me! I thought that was super sweet of him and told him I would let him know! So I have the DVD in my possession now all I have to do is get a chance to watch it! can't tonight so maybe tomorrow night! I am super excited about it!
