The squirrel ate my plant!

I am serious people! The silly stinking squirrel ate one of our plants! He was about to start on our cucumbers when Jon caught him and chased him off! Has anyone ever had this problem? How do I stop the evil squirrel from eating all the fruits of our labors?? To be honest I am not too sure what he ate because nothing had sprouted in that pot yet... And now I have to replant! Well at least I have an extra pot for more tomatoes! And why now after two weeks of sitting there has this evil squirrel decided to tear apart my plants?

Well if anyone has ever had this problem or knows of a way to fix this problem that doesn't involve hurting the evil squirrel then please let me know! I am open to suggestions! Maybe I will write a post on the IDigMyGarden Forums and see if I get any feedback? I may only accomplish people thinking that I am nuts but if I can find a way to stop it then I am game!

I will try to post a picture of what the evil squirrel did to my plant and even if I get lucky a picture of the evil squirrel himself!

Wednesday

Today is a good day! A day filled with work, Bible study, Wonderful ladies, and Books, yes books! So today after work much like any usual Wednesday, I will go home and help hubby while he makes dinner or I make dinner (it really flip flops each week) and help Austin with his home work! Then we will rush to sit down and eat together before I must leave them and go out to Bible Study! 3 hours of wonderful fellowship with wonderful, God fearing, uplifting women! I very much enjoy my Wednesday evenings! We are in John 12. John has taught me a lot about understanding Jesus better and the man that he was and still very much is. I look forward to continuing this study and seeing what God has in store for me!
Today I have requested that my hubby makes a trip to the library on my behalf! I so enjoy going to the library and just sitting and reading there! I wish I could actually do it from time to time! I might try sometime soon! So getting back on track the hubs is going to the library for me today to get a book I have put on hold called "Blue Like Jazz" I have heard many wonderful things about this book so I am going to start reading it. Maybe it will give my life some more perspective or maybe not?? Who knows! But what I do know is that I need to get back in the reading saddle! After that book I will be moving onto "Pride and Prejudice" and then "Emma" I never got the privilege to read these last two books growing up! So I am going to try to relive my childhood a bit :) So far it has gone wonderfully!

Going back to yesterday's post, I still haven't been able to get some pictures of everything we have planted but hope to get those pictures taken thins weekend! I still have more planting and container hunting to do! My porch is going to be full of containers by the time I am done with it :) Happy reading/gardening!

My hectic month!

So the month of March. Well March has been busy and full of ups and downs. Yes we are only nine days in and I understand that but a lot can happen in nine days people!

So I will start here... (be prepared that I might creep back into the month of February just a bit)

Last week was a pretty emotional one! My mother is a person who jumps the gun on everything. (And yes I seriously do mean EVERYTHING) She overreacts, loses her cool, and all this usually happens after she has picked up the phone and called me! Yes, I get the pleasure of being on the other end of the line while she spouts off! Usually it is about my little sister and how she is doing this or how she has done that! And then come to find out later my little sister didn't do any of those things and my mom yet again jumped the gun! So that becomes a taxing point in my life!

We have been spending a lot of time with my little sister lately. She doesn't really like being home with my mom so for the most part on weekends she is with us. And it has been such a blessing to have her in our house! She has asked to move in with us and it pains me to turn her down but we just don't have the room. Now that she comes up almost every weekend she comes to church! It is so great to watch God work in her life! It has been a wonderful opportunity to minister to and help her. And my realtionship with her has improved ten fold! I now have a better understanding of who my sister is and we are really starting to become quite good friends!

I have recently decided to start a vegetable & herb garden. Yes, me with no green thumb at all has taken on the task of container gardening! Pictures of my families little endevor will follow! My SIL Holly sent me a bunch of great seeds to get started! I am excited to get them planted but now am in need of more containers! Hoping that I will be able to find some at publix or other such stores! Or if anyone has any buckets, containers, anything that dirt and some seeds could fit in please pass them my way!

I have also recently become a fan of TBW and Diaper Swappers. I love wearing my baby and love that I have these sites to guide me. My husband says I'm silly, but I say I'm informed! I have recently purchased my SIL's Iris for the price of a didy purple waves! Which was an awesome deal! Also I decided to go one step futher and purchase another wrap! (it is quite addicting and I couldn't help myself!!) I purchased a Girasol Green Tea blue weft 4.6! I am so excited for it to get here sometime this week!!! I can't wait to put Ethan in it! Then take a ton of pictures! So those will follow as well! But I do have a cute picture of him in my Iris. So here it is!

I have also been turned on to swagbucks! I am half way to my first amazon GC and am super excited! This getting something for nothing is great!!! All you have to do is use their search engine to do everyday things and just like that you obtain swagbucks! Again my husband thinks I'm silly but I'm not hurting anything I tell him :) So try it out and see if it works for you!

So this month of March hasn't even began to be busy! We are booked every weekend until the end of this month! Hoping that this month will be a good one and that hopefully in Apirl I will get to finally go up to my friend Jess's house and see her! I so hope that all works out!

Ok I am now going to go back into the month of February please bare with me! Alot has happened! So last month was my birthday month and we had a tone of Fun! For my birthday weekend we took Austin and my little sister to Disney! Here are some pictures from our weekend spent there!

And with that this ends my really long Blog!

slim in 6 will be the death of me!!!

So it has been a long time since I last babbled anyone who reads this to death! So I figured it was only fitting to write a post to of course babble!

So I have just started (monday 8/3) this new workout program called, slim in 6 and lets just say that I hurt everyone you could possibly imagine hurting! (not kidding in the least!!) So well this work out program is really fufilling it is also very painful! I am way out of shape! I always think to myself when I am working out, Thank God my husband is asleep and can't see how silly I must look! Slim in 6, is a 6 week program. So I am hopping in 6 weeks to lose 36 pounds! I don't know if that is possible or not but at least some weight lose will be better then none.

On a different note. Jon and I have decided to finally take Austin to Disney World, or as we call it DW for short since we don't want Austin to hear us discussing it. For Christmas last year we recieved 3, 3 day passes to Disney, so we figured that it is about time that we use them! So for Labor Day weekend we will be spending some time in Orlando. I am very excited, because I have only ever been to Disney once in my life and well it wasn't the most memorable experience since I was sitting with my little sister the whole time well my mom and ex step dad decided to go on all the adult rides! My sister was 5 and I was 14! Not my idea of fun. So it is like I get to re-live my childhood when we go next month! We have been saving up money like crazy for our hotel rooms and our gas and for whatever Austin will want well we are there.

Random thought for today, I wonder if I can grow Basil?? Hmmm, I have been wanting to grow a bunch of herbs fresh and dry some out and keep some fresh to cook with. My husband and I have a cute little porch garden going! We love plants so much! I can't wait until we finally buy a house so that I can set up beautiful gardens all around!
